Support Your Pro-Single Payer Candidates - Educate The Rest

If your elected representative or candidate for state office is not on our list (below), the chances are good they do not support single payer health care for Pennsylvania. They might support health care reform in the abstract, but don't come down on either side of the issue: allegedly "practical" insurance-driven schemes versus true single-payer legislation. Some are afraid of getting behind "socialized medicine," which only shows a profound lack of understanding. Regardless of why they equivocate, these people need an education, and you can help deliver it.

The officeholders and challengers on this list have come out explicitly in support of single payer health care, the only fair and affordable way out of our present health care mess. They support the Family and Business Health Security Act. Some, like Cindy Purvis, have made it the centerpiece of their campaigns. They need your support and they need your votes. If the representative or candidate in your district is on this list, let them know how much you appreciate what they stand for. Make your support count by helping them get elected. We can't get single payer legislation passed in Harrisburg unless we elect enough supportive officeholders. Click for our list by name.
