Taking on the Big Boys,
Taking Back Our Health Care System
Dear Friends,
Listed below are the savings the taxpayers in each county of Pennsylvania will see
under the passage of the Family and Business Health Security Act. This legislation,
House Bill # 1660 and Senate Bill # 400 will give comprehensive health care to every Pennsylvanian.
There are 67 counties in our Commonwealth and we are releasing each county as the data is completed.
About the data:
This is not meant to be an apple to apple comparison. Each county government, municipality, and
school district deals with the health insurance industry on their own. Their number of employees,
the gender and the age of their employees and any major illness in their employee's history plays
a large role in the rates they receive. Some of them are able to offer complete coverage for their
employees and some find they can not offer any. Some of this data was given to use in budget and
financial form that were not easily read. Some do not break out health care from employee benefits
making it impossible to find. But in the end this is our best effort to show all taxpayers that
we have a choice. We can continue to waste tax dollars on handouts to the needless health insurance
industry or we can reduce taxes and provide comprehensive health care to everyone.
Also check out how much you and your family will pay for your comprehensive health care plan instead
of any premiums you are currently paying to insurance companies. We have a calculator on the site under
the Resource tab.
Want to call or email your local sate representative or senator? On our Resource tab you can click
on your county and their names with a link to their office will appear.
